The AFH-028 Hellhound (designated AH-88A2 for Japanese-built models) is an American attack helicopter fielded by the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. It makes prominent appearances in Patlabor 2: The Movie, where it was used to destroy the AV-02 Valiants of Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Special Vehicles Unit Section 2 among other targets.

The helicopter is seen to be extremely nimble and fast, and its weapons are shown to be extremely effective. It is also able to be deployed from a truck trailer, increasing its surprise attack capabilities. The Hellhound mounts a 3-barrel Gatling gun, two FIM-92A Stinger missile pods (4 missiles each), and two rocket launcher pods. The Japanese variant of the Hellhound, the AH-88A2, was extensively modified into the AH-88J2 Kai "Gray Ghost" prototype attack helicopter.
