SITE NOTICE (March 6, 2025)
Hello everyone! Due to their ability to hold a large amount of images and information pertaining to different characters, concepts, and locations, episode pages are on the agenda! I've done everything except the music and synopsis for every TV episode page and I have moved on to The New Files. In the meantime, before you upload images to the wiki, check the episode pages for what you may be looking for!

Wisdom and courage to all,

AV-0 Peacemaker is an advanced law enforcement patrol labor (or Patlabor) manufactured by Shinohara Heavy Industries as the successor to the AV-98 Ingram. The Peacemaker was officially adopted by SV2 Division 1 to replace its aging MPL-97S Python, which lagged far behind the Ingram. Both Division 1's Peacemakers were destroyed by Griffon in 1999.

Design & Development[]

Rationale[]

For a year, division 1 of special vehicle section 2 continued to operate with last generation MPL-97S Python mobile suits as division 2 were outfitted with much more advanced AV-98 Ingrams as the new unit was being stood up as a test bed for new tactics and SOPs relating to labor use in the field. Budget realities not withstanding, the TMPD deciding that refitting both units simultaneously would be unwise and prohibit expense. The AV-0 Peacemaker being a result of lessons learnt during AV-98 Ingrams use, it's Neural Net Operating System offering a substantial benefit over existing the Ingram's existing Labor Operating System. Presenting a chance for division 1 to leapfrog and take advantage of new technologies to bring the overall tempo and standard of labor operations up.

Electronics Systems[]

The Neural Network System, as the name suggests, was designed based on human nerves. This kind of experiment had been adopted in the labor industry since the days of Asuka, but it expanded to the whole. By embedding sensors throughout the body and processing the information obtained from the sensors on the main computer, it is possible to make decisions based on the senses of the Labor itself without relying on the operator. With this system, even in the event of a collision with the building due to a pilot error, the labor would reflexively take evasive action based on its own judgment. However, due to the need to process a huge amount of data, it had the disadvantage that it could not be used without linking to the control system installed in the follow vehicle. Therefore, Takumi Shinohara focused on the development of a stand-alone system, which is only the labor itself, and has completed the neuron network system.

Armor and Weapons[]

It comes standard with a revolver cannon of the same standard as Ingram (stored on the left side), a stun stick (stored under the armor of the arm), and a dedicated shield. The manipulator can be used with the same ''pulling hand'' as the 0 type (in the beginning, it was not used in the TV version because the notes in the setting materials said ''no pulling hand'', but in the new OVA version of the sequel exposed).

Trivia[]

  • The neural net operating system the peacemaker uses is based on the real life Artificial Neural Network an idea proposed in the 1940's however the technology was not fully accessible until the 1980's and 1990's. The neural network uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to teach a computer to process data in the same way a human brain functions.
