The Caldia was manufactured a guard robot for personal security, requiring a CPU and an operator for overall control, so it is best used for guarding large facilities. On flat ground, it moves using the roller mechanisms on its legs, but but can use a hook on the rear end of it's body to latch on rails if present, allowing it to move freely at high speeds on rails laid on walls, ceilings, and floors. The head is equipped with a full-circle monitor eye that can be extended upwards to monitor a wider area.
The "eyes" on the body are actually stun guns to apprehend intruders; two are built into the front, one on each side, and one at the back. The Caldia's will often give off warnings using synthesized voices before administering shocks to those it targets. Additionally, the part on the front that looks like the letter "R" is a composite sensor that can capture a variety of information. Although they are not particularly strong individually, the countless robots deployed there posed a considerable threat.
