Eiichi Hoba or E.Hoba for short, is the main antagonist of Patlabor: The Movie.
Personality[]
Hoba is a mysterious figure, and not much is known about himself. He loves Biblical references and his own name is referential to the Hebrew name of God in the Old Testament "Jehovah".
Biography[]
Eiichi Hoba's age and personal life is a mystery. His occupation is as a programmer and he made the Hyper Operating System for Labors to go haywire when wind would hit upon The Ark's surface. Hoba committed suicide moments after finishing the program, and distributing it to the labors of Shinohara Heavy Industries as an update. The details are unknown, but what is known is that he studied abroad at MIT in 1997. He joined Shinohara Heavy Industries immediately after returning to Japan, and his estimated age is 30 years old. His height is 170 cm tall though his other physical characteristics, including his medical history, are unknown. The rest can only be gleaned from the testimonies of people who knew him and the information he intentionally left behind, such as the record of him moving from one dilapidated apartment to another in a two-year period 26 times. Eiichi Hoba also has an unnamed pet raven.
