The F-15J Kai Eagle Plus is a variant of the real-world F-15J Eagle, manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It makes its only appearance in Patlabor 2: The Movie, where it is used to intercept the target designated "Wyvern". Compared to the standard Eagle, the Eagle Plus has completely different wings and control surfaces. These modifications are likely to have improved the agility of the fighter, allowing it to pull tighter air combat maneuvers. Additionally, the type has improved engines over its predecessor, but is rated at the same maximum speed. Therefore, it can be assumed that the Eagle Plus is capable of carrying a greater weapons load than the standard Eagle.
