Kanuka Clancy was a temporary member of Section 2 Division 2 Team 2 assigned by the New York Police Department. Sent to observe a labor unit with the purpose of helping build one for New York City. Highly capable in all duties to where her piloting skills are better than Ohta's, but was assigned to backup duty since acclimating the Labor to a temporary officer would be a poor decision.

Much like Nagumo, Kanuka is very by-the-book, Despite being by the book it is rumored that the NYPD the sent her to them because she was a problem officer. She is usually all business and sometimes cold to the members of SV.2 with the exception of Noa. She's the daughter of a millionaire, beautiful and intelligent. Proficient in languages, she seems to be a real phenomenon. However, her actions become unpredictable as she becomes consumed by her rationalist beliefs.
Biography[]
Kanuka Clancy was born in Born in Oahu, Hawaii 1977 making her 21 as of 1998. At some point in her childhood her parents were killed in an accident and left Kanuka in the care of her Grandmother Rei Clancy. She was dispatched to the second squad for training from the New York City Police Department. She graduated at the top of her class from the Police Academy in New York, and while serving in the Special Investigations Unit, she enrolled as an auditor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she completed a Master's degree in electronic engineering. She holds a fourth-degree black belt in Judo, a third-degree black belt in Aikido, and is a certified instructor in the Urasenke school of Tea Ceremony. Kanuka is also skilled in marksmanship and explosives disposal, and proficient in English, Japanese, German, French, Dutch, and Mandarin.
When she returned to New York, she stops in Hawaii to visit her grandmother, whom she loves dearly. Takeo Kumagami would replace Kanuka Clancy in her duties as Ohta's backup after she left. Kanuka's was also known to have good piloting skills since captain Goto asked her to come back to assist SV2 in the first movie. In 1999, the Tokyo police's Special Vehicles Section 2 deployed to the Ark factory to thwart a plan by Shinohara programmer Eiichi Hoba, who infected the HOS with a program that caused labors to go berserk. NYPD labor pilot Kanuka Clancy attempted to use the Zero to defend SV2 from berserk labors, but unfortunately the Zero succumbed to the HOS infection. Following the purge of the Ark's outer layers, Ingram pilot Noa Izumi was attacked by the berserk Zero. With Noa's unit damaged, she was forced to go on foot and use a shotgun to destroy the Zero's SRAM Virus and put an end to its rampage.
Upon discharge of her duties, she returned to New York.
