the Bauk is a military labor featured in The Next Generation: Patlabor which deployed during the cold war in the late 1980s, being a four legged weapon platform similar to the HAL-X10 and Doshka.
Design & Development[]
It was created in the midst of the ongoing Russian Revolution which prompted large investments in military technology. It was used to travel across mountainous and uneven terrain due to these legs, and can also be used as a traditional cable car to cover the ground troops being more than enough to fight against cable cars and other infantry vehicles. The use of a Crystalline-type vehicle search system in combination with a wheel makes it possible not only for high-speed vehicle search but also for indestructible vehicles. It has 50 cm thick armor and is equipped with a 76mm caliber cannon and a .30mm machine gun. It also appears to have discharges in the front of the labor as well. Despite it showing capable of destroying cities, and a highly effective military labor, it was introduced far too late into the war for it's potential to be fully utilized.
