Design and Development[]
As mentioned, the Roadmobile, similarly to the Type 99 Road runner, is a traffic patrol labor created to travel across congested roads and assist with traffic related accidents. Despite it's vehicular appearance, it's classification of a "labor" is derived from it's ability to extend it's legs. Each of these legs has a pair of wheels, and is capable of telescopic movements for straddling around traffic. Instead of manipulators, it has a magnetic crane used for picking up and transporting vehicles. Although it belongs to the Metropolitan Police Department, the details of its affiliation are unknown. Its only appearance in the film is when it is dispatched in conjunction with two patrol cars, and since there are no other Labors to serve as wingmen, it is highly likely that it is used as a powerful work vehicle by a unit other than the Labor Specialist Unit.
