The Type 95 "Gorilla" is a manga exclusive patrol labor used by Special Vehicles Section 2 Division 1
Design & Development[]
The Type 95, like it's anime counterpart the Asuka-MPL-96, is a modified version of a construction labor named the "Gorilla" and was created for police use. It has five fingered manipulators allowing it to hold batons, and comes with shields attached to each arm. There is also another improved version called the Type 96 which, while not showing much difference in performance, comes equipped with electric shock terminals. A training variant was also created to be used at the Waseda Police Academy, which was where Noa Izumi was trained to pilot. By the time of the story, the labor is already on the older side and being outpaced by newer civilian labors on the market, and was replaced by the AVS-98 Mark II.
