The Type 99 Road Runner is a traffic control labor utilized by Labor Unit 1 of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police is different from Section 2, which is a subordinate organization of the Security Department. It’s also an organization established within the Traffic Riot Police, which is the enforcement unit of the Ministry of Transportation, so there is little interaction between Labor Units.

Manufactured by Shinohara Heavy Industries, the Road Runner serves less as a labor apprehension patlabor and more of a traffic control labor. It’s design resembles a traditional vehicle rather than a labor, though it has a leg extension mode that allows it to drive over other vehicles on the road. It also has a three fingered manipulator for any situation that requires an extra set of large labor-like hand like traffic accidents. The machine is a two seater, and it’s power source is an engine located at the rear of the cockpit, which is used to generate electricity, which is then sent to the motor built into the ankle to drive the vehicle. It is also equipped with a downward mirror for use when standing up.
